JOHN ODDONE's Review of Rifle Basix Savage Arms Mark I/II & Model 93, Rimfires w/AccuTrigger SAV-RAT Trigger

If your shooting a Savage MKII and want a 1.5lb trigger pull, with a clean crisp break the "Rifle Basix SAV-RAT" Trigger is the ticket!........ Fairly easy to install, not to hard to adjust and when you hit the sweet spot....WOW!......Feels almost as good as a Anschutz!...... In my MKII the trigger had a little bit of side play so I add a very thin washer to one side...... your first adjustment will be the trigger pull spring, seems below one pound the sear doesn't engage 100% of the time...... I've got mine about 1.25lbs.......2nd adjustment sets the safety........ they tell you to start without the "Trigger Creep" setscrew....... but that's the best part!........ with that adjustment, you can set your trigger with "Zero" creep and a super clean break....... granted it's a $100 trigger in a $200 gun....... but it's like night and day......... for shooting squirrels not really necessary, but for ARA Benchrest shooting worth every penny!
Pros:
  • Gun Smith Not Needed
Cons:
  • price
Best Used for:
  • benchrest shooting
