CudBNE1's Review of RISE Armament AR-15 Magazine Release Button
When I attempted to install this on my geissele super duty 14.5 AR but the threads wouldn’t seat. Upon closer inspection I realized that the threads weren’t fully formed due to the bore being oversized. I used to be a Machinist in a previous life and it looked to be about 30 thousandths or so too big for the threads. I could insert the male end almost completely to the back before the threads caught any traction. Poor quality control seems to be the issue. Glad it was only 9 bucks but bummed that I wasted my time. Ended up ordering an Odin works over sized button instead. Hopefully that one is better quality.
Pros:
Cheap
Cons:
Defected out of the box
Best Used for:
Tossing at an intruder to disorient them, trash can filler, or air soft furniture.
Would Recommend:
No
