Mike's Review of Riton Optics X5 Primal 10x42mm Binoculars

I purchased these to use at work - I'm in the tree service industry, and being able to see potential damage, failure points, the buds of the tree high in the canopy, etc., helps a lot in my line of work. I occasionally used a pair of my granddad's old Tasco binos for work, which had magnification, but that was about it, so I used them rarely.

These puppies are crystal clear, and when I calibrated them for my eyesight and pupil distance (30 seconds, maybe), I don't get any eye strain. The focus is ergonomic, the weight is balanced and relatively light, the caps and included case do their intended job. At the end of the day it has changed how I work, it makes checking 25 and 50 yard targets from the line real easy, and has made me want to experiment more with magnified optics on my rifles. The downside? They MSRP for $600, and the shoulder harness isn't included. These aren't meant to compete with the top tier binocs, but they demolish the Nikon's I've played with at my local store.
