JBCA's Review of Rothco Lightweight MA-1 Flight Jacket
Have a regular Rothco MA-1 in XL and the sleeves are normal length and left sleeve pocket is sewn on side of sleeve, overall it is fine.
The lightweight version has sleeves from a size Large at best, they are 1" short at least. Pocket is sewn on front over the bicep. Looks wrong, feels wrong, is wrong. Then, the quality of nylon of the shell is poor. Loud and crinkley. The interior is worse. It looks and feels like they used cheap plastic from an emergency disposable poncho, the kind that come in cheap survival kits. It is terrible. Lining is a pale dull orange and is so thin it is transparent. The fit is also off, besides the sleeves. Upper arms and chest are also quite small for XL. Not even worth it if it was half the price. Optics Planet was very good about processing the return and providing feedback to Rothco.
