Rusty's Review of Rothco Vintage Vietnam Fatigue Pant Rip-Stop
The fabric is not authentic and feels cheap. There is a faint vertical striping effect in the weave. The drawstrings at the cuff are not the authentic cordage, but some cheap piece of string. The fabric is not durable, ripped the pants leg the second time I wore them. The slanted pocket style is the only thing authentic about them, so you are paying a premium price for basically junk. I have some of the originals that I wore in the Army, and these are nothing like them in quality. Several sets survived Ranger School without a single rip, yet these replicas rip on the second walk in the woods. The MADE IN CHINA label just seems to add insult to injury. The whole experience was just sad. Could they at least not source our vintage US Army fatigues from the communists ? Maybe Korea or the Philipines, at least. Maybe Vietnam would at least know how to make the damned things authentic....probably have some captured ones on hand to reference....
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Make you feel sad
Best Used for:
- Oil spills
Would Recommend:
