Tony T's Review of Royal Canadian Armstrong All Weather
I find these boots well constructed, durable, reliable hardware, solid stitching and solid foot support. My use case was business casual for a 60 y/o and to accommodate foot and ankle deformities and injuries. My wear environment is suburban Cali., 30-75 degrees, to and from work, walks in parks, and domestic errands. Compared to the Haix EMT boot, this is not a tactical boot. It lacks most of the foot protection: no full length shank, no steel/composite toe, lacing doesn't articulate shoe to conform around the ankle. It is however, very comfortable, climate controlled for all weather and the memory foam foot bed is probably one of the best insoles. I wear orthotic inserts for plantar fasciatis, falling arches, broken this and that; and regretted placing them on the insoles. I suspect some of the lacing issue will resolve with break in.
I wouldn't use them as work boots, motorcycle boots, or for kicking in doors. They do fit my bill nicely though.
