Rudolph rangefinder - Rudolph Optics 8x42mm 1800M Roof Prism Binocular Rangefinder

I really wanted to use this item. I felt the optics were good and the rangefinder feature was easy to use compared to some others. The problem was I had difficulty getting the battery compartment cap back on. After reading several reviews, I felt I needed to try this and was surprised at how much trouble I had at room temperature and good lighting trying to get it back on. I have heard similar complaints about Red Dot battery compartments and I have several that I never had trouble with as long as I was patient. I felt that this would not work in a hunting situation with cold weather and bad lighting. I will probably go with the Bushnell version as its battery cap was much simpler.
