The 20 MOA Ruger American Short Action Picatinny Rail adds a picatinny rail to the 1st Gen Ruger American Rifle as advertised. It is a very simple install and gives you more options in scope mounts for your preferred optics. I have a Swampfox Patriot 4-16x44 with Swampfox scope rings mounted to my rifle and I am very pleased with the rail and have no complaints.
