Attachment is easy. Has side picanny rails for other attachments. Bright dot. I have a push button activation switch on a different LaserMax. I prefer that over the slide button on this one. But still a good unit.

I received my 10/22 laser and it did not include the two screws to mount the side plate. Upon emailing lasermax customer support, they gave me the run around for three days finally reaching the conclusion that they couldn’t help me and I had to call for support. I called to get the runaround yet again and I still don’t have the pieces I need or should have gotten from the start. I even asked what the screw size and thread pitch was so I could just go buy my own to which they said they didn’t have that information. Just ridiculous! I like the laser and it seems to be built fairly well to run on a .22, but pretty dang useless when I can’t secure the side plate. If this is indicative of lasermax customer service, this will be the first and absolute last item I will ever purchase of theirs. Do some research for yourself as well as they are a fairly large conglomerate of several other companies and their customer service is all linked through the same location. Buyer beware!
Cons:
- Did not include the necessary parts and customer service is absolutely worthless.
Best Used for:
- Throwing in the trash in the condition of mine.

This Lasermax would not fit properly on the wood stock for my 3 year old 10/22. It should fit snugly up against the stock collar just like the original barrel band but I couldn't get mine any closer than about a 1/4 inch gap. I called Ruger tech support and they indicated that this product may not be a proper fit on some wood stocks (mine being one of them I guess). They suggested I replace my wood stock with a synthetic stock if I want to use it. I installed the Lasermax as far down as it would fit on my stock but the screw that came with the Lasermax wasn't long enough to engage in the nut. Consequently, I had to use the longer screw that came with the original barrel band to fasten the Lasermax.
While the installation instructions that come with the Lasermax say to remove a plastic tab to activate the N1/3 batteries (says there are two batteries but mine only had ONE battery) before installing the battery cover with the included tiny (and I mean tiny) philips head screws, my unit had no plastic pull tab, the was installed backwards instead to keep it from discharging.
The Lasermax laser worked just fine. The windage and elevation adjustments are made with a tiny allen head wrench that comes in the package. Better find a nice safe place to store it so you won't lose it.
So, bottom line is if you have a 10/22 carbinevwith a wood stock your mileage may vary.
Cons:
- may not fit on a wood stock
- instructions are incorrect
- adjustments must be made with tiny allen wrench

Perfect fit for Ruger 10/22 rifle. Easy to install and use. Easy access to on/off switch. Good laser beam brightness for ease of target point location. Great product at a reasonable price. Good aid in target practice.

Worth every nickle, Sighted in like a cakewalk, tested same night on spinner targets, with Scope still on rifle- Deadly! bought specifically for night varminting, and at 40-50 yards, I'm having a gas with this! Recommend in full confidence-

Great for low light or night time shooting. Did not fit easily to the wooden stock end. Could not use the bolt and nut given as to short. Other than that a great feature added to the rifle. Easy to adjust.

This product was carefully thought out and well executed. It is perfect for the 10/22 and does not upset the balance or appearance of the little rifle. It's a good product and I would would definitely recommend it to all 10/22 owners.
Pros:
- attractive and functional

I purchased this for my 10/22 TakeDown.
I had to remove my Flash Hider to slide the unit over the front iron sight....no problem.
Point of Impact was higher verses Point of Aim with laser on Target. While adjusting the elevation I had to reverse the adjustment screw direction verses the instructions! No biggie once I figured that out I got perfect POA/POI.
I called LaserMax and asked about the instructions confusion...they said they have discontinued making this product and it was just a one time production run and that they have no plans to make another.
I recommend this product....well worth the price and really makes shooting targets fast and easy...unless it’s a Bright day out..to be expected.
The warranty is still 5 years so I’m glad I purchased the 10/22 LaserMax!

Quick easy install .not as bright in daylight as video would make it seem. Believe it may come loose with time, needs more than I screw to hold it down great idea but less reliable than my red dot scope...
Cons:
- not competition shooting equipment
