Great item; a key feature of the Safariland 6004 that I was missing before I got this. It comes in a small bag with instructions, a hex wrench for installation, and the item itself. It definitely is tough enough to do the job, and it mounts very easily under the two main screws of the SLS (self locking system) on your holster; the only issue I had was the drop strap of my 6004 getting in the way of my hex wrench, but you can work around that fairly easily.
I thought that $7.00 might have been too much to ask for this at first due to its just being a single piece of plastic, but after you get to handle it for a few minutes, you can see that most of the price comes from the molding job they had to do to build it. As far as use, I may just be a lowly airsofter, but just from experimenting with it, I can see that it does its job well-that being to cover the push-button of the SLS from unwanted hands. For performance, you may have to retrain with it on the holster to get used to operating the SLS around the hood, but if you have to at all, it would be a minimal amount of time before you got used to it (I don't use this profesionally though, so I could be completely wrong). Overall a great product; makes your holster look that much cooler as well. :D
Pros: works as advertised, easy installation, rugged design
Cons: may need minimal re-training on drawing your weapon with the guard on
