Good product-good price - Safariland 6280 Level II Retention, Mid-Ride Holster - Basket Black, Left Hand 6280-71-82

This was a very hard holster to find since they do not make the 8045 Beretta anymore. To complicate matters I am also a lefty. The price was probably about 10-15% below local retail. The holster itself meets expectations rather well. I had a dual snap level 3 holster that frankly was a pain in the a** at the range. It was very difficult to get the bottom snap to close. This holster is a lot easier to use although it is not as secure as the level 3. That is the trade off; ease of use vs. security. Another aspect of this I like is that the weapon sits closer to the body then with the level 3- dual snap for some reason. With the old holster the handle of my weapon would strike the door frame getting in and out of the squad. That does not happen with this holster. This is very usable design. This is a great duty holster that allows for very quick, very smooth draws and easy, intuitive re-holstering.
Pros: Allows for very quick draw. Secure. Good angle and position - sits close to body.
Cons: Felt liner starting to pull away from leather where decocking level rubs when placing gun in holster. Just a cosmetic problem.
