Good duty holster - Safariland 6280 Level II Retention, Mid-Ride Holster - STX Tactical Black, Right Hand 6280-261-131

The 6280 STX Retention 2 holster is a fine duty holster. Rugged, fairly lightweight and accessible due to its more conventional positioning outward from the hip. This is not a criticism, but a description. I used a 6280 for a S&W Government Model - and it was a bit awkward and on the heavy side. This STX 6280 is lighter - and the holster length is a tad shorter, making getting in and out of the vehicle a bit easier. Frankly, I was spoiled by another, closer riding holster, and got used to rounding corners and sliding behind the wheel without impacting either the holster or gun frame. However, for duty use and immediate access of your weapon, the Safariland 6280 does the job.
Pros: Solid construction, lighter weight than some
Cons: Extends outward significantly
