Danny S.'s Review of Safariland 6377 ALS Belt Holster for Sig P226, P228, P229, P239, P250, PRO SP2022

I lucked out on this Holster. Wasn't sure about the Holster at the low price point but took a shot, pun intended. I am a Retired Police Officer (28 long arduous years) with Oklahomas 2nd largest Metropolitan Police Department. I am VERY picky about my OWB Holsters. I value Comfort, Quick draw capability, and a Holster that doesn't mar the finish on my weapon. After reading the manual, and strapping up, I proceeded to examine my weapon after approximately ten "in and outs." No damage whatsoever. Next on my list was "Quick Draw" capability. The manual says to attempt under two seconds. In my opinion, a two second draw will get you killed. I had my wife count to two seconds (one-one thousand, two-one thousand). I was able to draw, and point, repeatedly, when she had just finished the first "one-one" before saying "thousand." That included using the "thumb slide retention devise." That to me is more than acceptable considering I was just starting out with the holster. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOLSTER!!!
Pros:
  • Comfortable on hip, easy on weapon (no marring), and easy to Quik Draw...
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • EDC, Weapon Retention, and Quick Draw
Would Recommend: Yes
