As a law enforcement and private firearms instructor with a decade of experience, I have had the opportunity to use several different holster designs. The Safariland 6320 ALS Level 3 is one of the best duty holsters I have fielded. I have used the 6320 made for a Smith and Wesson M&P 9 and one made for the Glock 17 with weapon light attached. The holsters Automatic Locking System secures the firearm in the holster via the ejection port upon holstering; furthermore, the firearm is secured by a rotating hood. This holster system safely secures the firearm in the holster and permits a fast draw. I use the model that can accommodate several different lights on the market such as the Surefire X300 and the Streamlight TRL1. It will also accept the firearm with or without a light attached.
I highly recommend it to persons working in law enforcement or security environments where weapon retention and speed is extremely important.
