Eric Wolf's Review of Safariland Model 6378USN ALS Low Signature Glock Holster

There's absolutely no reason to turn down this holster. A holster's purpose is to keep your weapon secured and easily accessible. With the Safariland 6378 ALS holster, you get that and more. I have a glock 19 with a Streamlight TLR-1. It fits perfectly fine. I have no doubt that it will fit multiple lights. My weapon slips into the holster with the upmost ease. If at any point, I feel the retention in the holster isn't enough, with a simple turn of a knob on the side, I can easily and quickly adjust the retention of my weapon. With the ALS, you get the most secure locking mechanism so your weapon doesnt fall out from running, rappelling, or just walking around on duty. To release your weapon from the holster, as you reach for your weapon, your thumb will naturally land on the nub that you press down as you draw your weapon. This will give you a very crisp, safe draw. With a Serpa holster, the button to release your weapon is where the trigger guard will be located. Even though you're practicing safe trigger discipline by having your index extended out to disengage the locking mechanism, at the same time, you're putting yourself at a risk. You're pressing down where your trigger would be as you're drawing with a serpa holster, so in a stressful situation, you have a greater chance of accidental discharge as you're drawing the weapon. With a Safariland holster, that habit is fixed by putting the unlocking mechanism where your thumb is. I use the mid ride holster attachment so my holster isnt directly on my waist belt and it's not too low down my thigh. This makes for a perfect placement of the holster when my arms are resting down. The last thing I have to mention about this holster is the Cordura wrap. With this option on your holster, you're getting little to no light reflection as to compared to a holster with it. The fabric feels sturdy, so even if my holster were to hit alot of barriers as I move about I have no doubt the fabric will remain intact with the holster. I highly recommend this holster to anyone looking for a duty use holster or just an open carry holster.
