Soft aluminum
The open latch is not tight, it has wiggle room. This is because the latch is made of aluminum which after being open and closed twice had curled slightly. Would avoid this product or at least be extremely careful with it.

At first this thing is awesome and the bad azz factor plays a big part. Then, you start playing with it and it becomes evident that this could have been done better. there is a significant amount of play when the elbow is collapsed and tucked to the side. The tolerances should have been tighter to overcome this side jiggle if you may.

These are great, only complaint is a slight wiggle when folded but locks firmly when open. I use them on my AK’s in conjunction with the buffer tube adapter and sb3 braces, some require the plug pull limiters to reduce increased length at full draw.

I contacted SB tactical, told them.the situation of my adapter breaking and not able to stay open/in the folded position. Within hours they replied saying they will have a replacement sent out ASAP. Customer service with SB Tactical is A1 and on point. Their products are overall great and good customer service makes it that much better of a brand in my eyes. Optics planet still hasn't replied to me about the matter and I am glad I went to the source.

- GREAT = SB TACTICAL customer service
Cons:
- Zero for now will update when 2nd one arrives

Stopped locking in fold position in 3 weeks

It was amazing /great / dream come true...after I used it more so it wasnt STIFFER than a MF to where i could barley unfold it....then after got it working smooth...from opening and closing it for 2-3 weeks it wore down the corner of the locking mechanism so now it just rolls over the edge which is now a curve and folds open. Does it still fold ....yes...can I sling it with it folded ....no it will open and nut check me. Pretty pissed and cant return it I'm assuming.

- Doesn't last and need to be gentle

- Keeping open and not folding often.

Good Folding Solution

It's definitely not fast or even 1/3 as sturdy as a LAW tactical mount but it does the job for PCC's and other odd guns where you can keep it folded while shooting which is where this shines. It works well and actually is a great product but like the fact that you have to hold and use buttons makes this like not something for a home defense gun you plan on flipping out last second.

solid lock on ruger 10/22 charger pistols as well as on remington 700cp 308 pistol i had to use some shims to tune fold location like all SB tactical products i own quality is great and 0 P price is as good as you will find

Installed on my Draco...for the price you can’t beat it. I currently have about 300 rounds on it and still holding strong got it just before the covid19 scare so it probably won’t see any action until the world goes to sh*t or the gun craze is over which ever comes first!!!
