Most Helpful Positive Review Great Product - High Quality
I recently installed this SBPDW Brace on my CMMG AR-15 chambered in 9mm with a Lone Wolf lower that accepts Glock magazines. Installation was simple. You just need a castle nut wrench. I was a little excited and didn't remove the telescoping Brace portion from the main piece which made it more diffi...

Most Helpful Negative Review heavy and packaging bad
I was excited about this but it left me underwhelmed. It is puite heavy which kind of defeats a pistol build and rattles alot. The packaging needs to be improved, they box it like there normal brace products (tossed in a printed box) but with the black metal edges on this product, this causes a huge...

Pistol brace that weight you down

by Falcon072, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on February 15, 2021
It has a good concept design and production result. Seriously, it weighs way more than advertise weight of 18oz. more like 48oz. Finishing is decent. Construction is surprisingly solid. But, it could definitely be much lighter.
Pros:
  • Solid comstruction
  • Pistol brace design
Cons:
  • Too heavy to be a good effective pistol brace.
  • Required extra force to retract operation of the brace
Best Used for:
  • Whatever you build.

Ichose it easily and received it quick enough.

by Hemoglobon on my Lawn, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on October 9, 2020
It fits, it works & I got it quick enough! However asking me for 200 characters for a review is seriously why I gave 3 stars. That is quite a few characters for what should be a very simple process. I could be wrong but honestly courtesy isn't and shouldn't be common. Capitalism has its woes I reckoned.

Decent but not great for the price

by FreezeGopher, from IL, United States Written on June 1, 2018
Ordered this right before the SBA3 came out...didn't cancel the order since I thought the heavier brace would balance out the pistol I was going to use it on. It does do that but not a major difference for the overall weight gain.

Adjustment was stiff but loosens up nicely after extending the stock many times. The two rails do rattle quite a bit when you move around with the gun. They should have come up with some nylon bushings or something, for the price I don't think it's acceptable. It is solid if you were to pull it into your shoulder though.

It's better than the Shockwave Blade I was using before with respect to bruising or sore shoulder. Even under light recoil the Blade could cause discomfort from the very narrow hard plastic from certain shooting positions. The generous rubber area is great if the recoil causes the brace to hit your shoulder or collar bone area.

It's decent but I'd go with a cheaper option next time
Pros:
  • Easy to install
  • Comfortable
  • Adjustable
Cons:
  • price
  • Rattles

Too much play

by Srf, from FL, United States Written on February 13, 2018
I like the adjustablility but was surprised at how much play it has. The buffer tube and mount are tight but the brace stock rattles and is noisy at all three positions. For how much it costs it should be rock solid. You can see the locking mechanism move when you push or pull on the brace and it should be tight at this price point. Also, the finish scratches easily.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
Cons:
  • Loose And noisy

Not as short as you would expect

by Luis, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on February 13, 2018
Great product nonetheless, but not as short as you think. If your going for the shortness go with the maxim version a little more expensive but worth it in my opinion. This was intended for my 8'' 300 BLK pistol build.
Pros:
  • great design
Cons:
  • not that compact
Best Used for:
  • Pdw weapon

Nice brace but way over priced for what you get

by None, from TX, United States Written on January 4, 2018
It works but is over priced. There is currently a new style of brace that rainier arms Is selling at a lower price and offers more options. Also if you are building to keep super short in a bag you can attach a law folder to that 1.this pdw only stays straight with 3 length of pull adjustments.
Pros:
  • Works as advertised. Simple installation
Cons:
  • over priced for what it actually is
  • When not fully extended it covers break down pins
Best Used for:
  • recreational

Love it! Perfect for my Honey Badgerish pistol.

by Brad, from TX, United States Written on December 18, 2017
As promised. Very slight wiggle. Not noticeable when "shouldered...." Pleased with the fit and finish. I chose this over the Maxim because of price. I didn't realize the Maxim included a JP Enterprises Silent Captured Buffer. When you add the two up it is about the same price, and the Maxim collapses shorter. If I had to do over, I would probably get the Maxim.
Best Used for:
  • ar pistol
