Heinrich8000's Review of OPMOD 5-25 x 56 mm Rifle Scope 34 mm First Focal Plane (FFP)
A navy seal who did travel from the US to northern Germany in Heide Bundeswehr
barracks with his Desert Tech rifle in 308 Winchester who competed in our German
regional 1000 yards match had huge problems with that scope... Same as with the
Nightforce scopes, the Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56 had -dead clicks- what means that
the clicks -did not track- when been applied. The soldier shot amazingly well up
to 500 yards when he used the reticle only. When he tried to apply the clicks they
were dead, meaning that they did -not- track. He was stunned and looked at the piece
of equipment horrified as he become hit by a baseball bat. I don´t know how many
shooters do shoot 1000 yards but have that problem or ever reach out to that distance
but it seems not many enough to remark those problems. The desert tech rifle is one
of the best sniper rifles around but it seems that also high qualified people do have
severe problems with today´s rifle scopes being defective.
Pros:
At least the etched in reticle works
Cons:
very high price
Best Used for:
reselling on ebay
battle club for close distance fights
Would Recommend:
