The driving sunglass

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 20, 2011

Serengeti is best for driving. It enhances the contrast and you can feel the clarity as soon as you put it on, Serengeti has put a lot of technology on these sunglasses

The spectral control really works although you wont notice it right away. I believe the sun needs to be at certain angle for it to work, but when it works its exactly like the demo shown in Serengetis website

Its photo chromatic which darkens as the sunlight increases, wont make much difference in the car but when you get out its definitely a plus

Polarization is very good at sea, but definitely not good if you are having tinted windows on your car, you start to see rainbows and color patterns on rear and side tinted windows.

Polar PHD houses lot of technology features are was basically the selling point for me

Over all I would have given 5 for this just 4 because the frame feels light and I worry that It might disintegrate it if would apply force, But so far the flex frame has not given up. last but not least if you are getting this for driving amber is the color to go

Pros: Very good contrast & clarity
Cons: effect of polarization on tinted windows
Would recommend: Yes

Nice sunglasses

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on November 6, 2010
I am very happy with them. They are very light and don't have a frame around the lens (I have had problems with lenses popping out in the past - it won't happen with this pair).
Pros: Light; fits well; no frame around the lenses
Cons: Appear flimsy (perhaps fragile)
Would recommend: Yes
