Looks good, feels good...just need a stock that it fits! - SGM Tactical Saiga Rifle/Shotgun Recoil Pad

I recently bought a NIB SDS imports Lynx LH-12 (12 gauge). Many (not all!) of the parts/accessories available for Saiga 12 gauge shotguns will fit on the Lynx. I bought a lot of SGM products in the past and have been very happy with them. Not only have I been impressed with their quality, they've all worked pretty well with my Lynx...except this recoil pad. I bought this SGM recoil pad thinking it would fit perfectly on the Lynx. It doesn't, at least not without a lot of modifications. The butt on the lynx stock is much smaller than the recoil pad. I guess the recoil pad COULD be attached to the factory Lynx stock, but there would be a lot of recoil pad material hanging over the edge in every dimension. And I guess if I really wanted to I could trim it around all the edges...but in my opinion that would be WAY too much work.

So buying this SGM recoil pad was my mistake, in that I thought it would fit the Lynx. My mistake, I should've done more research. No worries, because I'm planning on upgrading the stock eventually anyway, so I'm definitely going to hold onto this SGM recoil pad. It seems like it's very good quality, and I look forward to trying it out. Just because it doesn't work now, doesn't mean it won't work in the future, when I change the configuration of the Lynx. I have no regrets!

I strongly recommend that if you're thinking about this product, you ensure it will fit whatever stock you intend to put it on. Do your research - don't be lazy like me!
