SigMan69's Review of Sharps Bros. Sig P365 X - Macro Pistol Grip Module

Have a P365 FUSE. Can't stand the plastic grip module. I bought a Sig P365 AXG grip module just before Christmas. Being aluminum, it was a nice improvement but I was really wanting a thumb rest / gas pedal like my 320's have so I decided to give the Sharps Bros grip module a try. It is FANTASTIC! Fit and finish are almost perfect (more on that in a minute).

Tip #1: Don't overtighten the screw that secures the FCU. Sig grip modules use a pin w/ a retainer clip to secure the FCU. Sharps Bros uses a screw. The instructions say to snug it down. Do just that. Don't crank on it. If you do, you will notice a hitch in the trigger pull. If you pull the slide back off to see what's going on, you'll notice the sear doesn't move smoothly when you pull the trigger. Take about 1/4 turn out of the screw and everything will be fine.

Tip #2: This thing has tight tolerances. The FCU fits tight. Don't be afraid when it doesn't just drop in like it does with the polymer grip module. It takes just a bit of force.

Ok, now to the reason I took a star away.
The mag release would barely fit and it would not move at all. After inserting it a few times I saw where it was rubbing the cerakote inside the grip module. I use a piece of sandpaper and a dowel to remove most of the cerakote from inside the mag release area then I put a tiny bit of grease on the mag release before installing it. Works perfectly! If they are going to cerakote that area, they need to make it a 10th of a mm larger.

I also ordered a different set of grips from VZ. There is noting wrong with the ones from Sharps Bros., I just like a more aggressive texture.

All said, it is a fantastic grip module.
