Nice fit for my P229R in 40 S&W. Took it to the range and put some FMJ and HP without a single malfunction. Slide locked back every single time and didn't have any problems with the extractor. Also, I was using the 40/357 mags, but definitely, I recommend getting the P229-1 E2
