Excellent hard use optic

by Matt S., Gear Expert from IL, United States Written on July 3, 2018
Really impressive optic that's ready to go from the box to your AR.

Rugged housing, robust mount, capped turrets and pic rails for a spare battery, red dot sight, or any other accessory you want.

Decent eye relief compared to many similar compact fixed power optics. Excellent clarity and field of view really set this optic apart. I liked the reticle, finding it useful but not cluttering.

While this optic won't win any competitions for looks, it is a winner in the categories that matter.
Most Helpful Positive Review As good as the Vortex Spitfire 3x overall but excells in certain areas
So I now own this scope, the Spitfire 3x and the Spitfire AR. After using all three they all have their benefits and are all five star scopes. I write this review in the hopes that it will help others narrow down selection, but in my case I am keeping all three after using testing and comparing. I c...

Most Helpful Negative Review Optics Planet and is wrong
The website says that this scope has unlimited eye relief. I found out quickly upon receiving it that it does not. Other than being made in China it looks like a quality optic. I have not used it yet. I think I might save it for a different application.

Best Battlesight...period.

by CH3MIK4L, from NM, United States Written on April 2, 2024
This is my second Sig Sauer battlesight. I previously owned the original Bravo battlesight and I Loved it. Unfortunately, they no longer make the original Bravo but I was just as impressed with this new Bravo 3X24 Battlesight! The field of view is so much wider than say, a traditional ACOG. Additionally, It has 3 picatinny rail mounts for a laser or an RMR on top. Bottom line is this is an amazing sight for an excellent price. Sig never disappoints! Completely worth it! I've already ordered the 5x version!
Pros:
  • crystal clear
  • Removable picatinny rails
  • Multiple reticle illumination
  • 40% wider FOV
Cons:
  • Let you know when I find one

Solid RCO without a 1000$ price tag

by Bowie, from CA, United States Written on March 6, 2023
Tested it out and I gotta say the eyebox is very forgiving. The reticle once adjusted properly is very crisp and no chromatic aboration or edge distortions. Love the horseshoe. I wanted a trijicon acog but I don’t have a huge budget to spend, and I can honestly say I’m very glad I got this one!
Pros:
  • Price
  • clear glass
  • wide FOV
  • forgiving eyebox
Cons:
  • Not battle tested yet
Best Used for:
  • Range
  • combat

After a year of ownership I can truly say this is a great optic on my 300 blackout pistol. Incredibly wide FOV,wide range of illumination settings, shake awake feature, clear glass, rugged design and very usable eye relief. The reticle is simple and to the point. The hold offs were dead on up to 400 yards and this reticle makes it too easy. Everyone that shoots my gun with this optic falls in love with it. Only cons I would say is the hefty weight for a fixed magnification optic. Aside from that - not a lot of established reputation for the durability of the optic out in the field. It feels very solid and durable but the decades of combat testing of the elcan and acog make them the prime choice for duty. I wish there was a higher end offering of this model kind of like the bravo 4, that was American made and had the same features and perhaps enhanced durability testing/a killflash and caps. I would spend $800+ on that any day over an acog

Cons:

Love this scope! It’s got a wide view, etched reticle, and wide range of brightness settings for dim to bright conditions such as a summer day!! Get a mini reflex to stack on top!

Great product

by Larry, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 4, 2021
The product was exactly as advertised. Optic mounts easily and has a great field of view. Please note, it is NOT a red dot sight, so it does not have the same field of view as one. I mounted the optic on my rifle and mounted a red dot sight on top for close targets. The scope works great for mid-range targets.

Please note, despite the description, this product does NOT come with lens covers. Sig Sauer does not make ANY covers for this optic.

Love This Sight

by JD, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on May 30, 2021
I love this sight! Crisp clean view. My setup was best suited for the 3x over the 5x. I love the battery location, the left side and makes changing easy. A ton of battery life too. The shake awake feature is convenient and it auto shuts off quick too, which is great for battery life. The brightest setting is super bright, even in daylight. The picatinny on the top and sides means I can put a small red dot on top to use for anything closer than 100 yards without needing to flip a magnifier out of the way. The eye relief really is unlimited but for a 100% eye relief it's around 3.5". However the reticle is visible for quite a ways. I don't mind the weight although it is a little heavy. You're getting a lot for a great price so a little sacrifice in weight means quality other places, where I think it counts. Once I saw this sight I began building my setup AROUND it and it lends itself to that perfectly.

Sig Sauer Bravo3 3x24mm Red Dot Sight Review

by Damon, from MO, United States Written on March 21, 2021
A friend of mine turned me on to this badass optic - he said good luck finding one

Well, I did find one on Optics Planet

This is an excellent optic for an AR platform - due to it's eye relief it perfectly complements firearms that you can pull up close - about a 3.5" relief for my application - can't beat it

Motion activated power-on and a variety of brightness settings - 3x power was exactly what I was looking for

This optic is not practical for mid-mount rifle applications as the eye relief was not designed for that application

Great value, superior build quality and awesome glass - highly recommend
Pros:
  • Quality
  • great glass
  • Motion Activated
Cons:
  • None

  • Ar platforms
  • AR plat forms

Great Optic

by THROB PIECE, from MO, United States Written on February 12, 2021
Used this for the first time hunting a few weeks ago. Great during the day. Reticle is nice but would turn off every 5 minutes or so. Not sure if it’s a setting or a defect. Other than that sight picture is very clear with good field of view

Good ACOG substitute

by Todd, from MI, United States Written on January 24, 2021
I've been active duty Marine Corps for 18 years and been using the ACOG since they were first fielded. I always wanted to get an ACOG of my own, however, I wasn't prepared to drop the $1,000+ to own one. This was an excellent substitute.

Feels rugged and durable. Easy to make adjustments. I once saw a review complaining the adjustment screws had too large of a slot, allowing screwdrivers to slip out of the slot when turning. Well, that's because you're supposed to use the lip near the primer of your brass to make adjustments, i.e. so you don't have to carry around a screwdriver. I appreciate the horseshoe aiming reticle, as it allows quick target engagement close-in, with the 1 MOA dot in the middle for long-range, precision shots. Bullet Drop Compensator is excellent and it appears to have the same range estimating capabilities as an ACOG. (If you didn't know why the lines get smaller as you go down to further ranges, it's because it represents approximately 19" at that range. 19" is the approximate distance accross the chest area of an average upright bipedal sapien target. So if the lines fit just within the target's shoulder blades, your at the correct range). I don't know how accurate or useful the standoff lines (tic marks on the left and rights sides of the horseshoe) are for moving targets, as I have not been able to field test that portion. The zoom level (3X) is perfect and comparable to the ACOGs 4X, if not more versatile. With ACOGs, any target le...
