Great optic, but... - SIG SAUER Bravo5 5x32mm Prismatic Battle Red Dot Sight

I purchased the Bravo 5 about 8 months ago. I've probably put around 750 rounds through it. It has held zero well, and works as advertised. The eye relief was a little shorter than I expected, ended up having to get a larger charging handle for my AR as the optic sits right over it and was interfering with manipulation. But that is not the big problem with this optic. The problem is the objective lens is perilously close to the front of the optic and there is nothing to protect it. Sig doesn't make a cover or any other protective device. The shape of the optic prohibits use of a standard lens cap. I wrote Sig and asked for details on the objective end threading so I could buy an aftermarket Anti Reflection Device. They did not respond. When I posted a similar review to this on their website they deleted it. Apparently they don't want anyone to know about their issues or poor customer service. In short, this is a great optic for the range, but I wouldn't trust it in the field.
