WOODY's Review of SIG SAUER OPMOD Romeo5 Compact 1x20mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
Like the tittle says. I’m not a sig guy at all. But this is a 10/10 product. If you need an optic you’re betting your life on daily. I’d go with an aimpoint above anyone else and I’ll stand on that till I’m setting in the halls of Valhalla drinking with my brothers. That being said. If you are looking for an affordable optic that is hands down the pound for buck champ. This is it. No questions asked this is the absolute best red dot on the market for the price. That all said,I got the FDE (OPMOD) aka the optics planet special. the facts about it. It has 7 dot settings. Aka you press the + button and see the dot change 7 times. 2-4 are usable daylight dots with zero flair). 1 is crisp but I can’t see it on the ball fast enough. And everything above 4 is a sunburst that most of us just won’t ever use. Now I’ll never run this under NVGS so I’m not sure what it looks like under NV. But I got this and put it in a bolt gun. I’m highly satisfied and for the price this is the best red dot in the planet. Now back to the whole aimpoint part. I’ll never bet my life on the $130 I got this for or the $15”ish it normally goes for. Being that guy. This optic is for the off duty hunting/shooting rifle. I would never bet my life on 140-150$. EVVVVVVER. NO MATTER HOW GOOD A THING WAS. For duty/shtf buy aim point. Anything outside of that and this is 100% your go to optic. Also, it does turn off at 129 seconds. But that’s if it’s 1000% setting still. Set it on your counter top to test it and you leaning against the counter will keep it on. It’s that’s sensitive. Bottom line. For a basic nine combat optic. 10/10
