Seems to be a solid piece, I bought this and a Vortex and found I prefer the Spitfire Prism. Also, purely aesthetically, I didn't like the contrasting colors. Just make them both black.... This was for my Sig Sauer MPX Carbine. I thought a simple red dot would make for quicker target acquisitions (IDPA/USPSA) but again found I like the Spitfire better...
