Good rings / bad screws - SIG SAUER Alpha Stainless Steel Hunting Rifle Scope Rings

Bought these rings for a Sig Whiskey3 scope to mount on my .308 Bolt action. Gun came in last week. The rings work well enough but Sig recommends 35ft/lb of torque for each screw. On of the screws actually broke at 34.5ft/lb. Called Sig and they are sending a replacement screw but now I have to wait yet another 5 days to finish mounting the scope. They said it has happened before. I wouldn't have expected something as simple as a screw to fail. It's not hunting season and I'm shut in due to the damned virus, but thought I would share this for the benefit of those who may not be able to risk waiting another week to finish mounting a scope with these rings.
