A superb scope - SIG SAUER Whiskey5 1-5x20 Rifle Scope, CirclePlex Illum. Reticle

With having an initial budget for a scope of $300-$400, I came across this scope offered here at Optics Planet for $406, instead of $999. This when I started to research this scope online, reading and watching many reviews, including on the official SIG web site. The attention to details, with adjustable illuminated reticle, special dirt repellant coatings on lenses etc, make this piece a tremendous value!
I have mounted this scope on a SIG 551A1, using the SIG SOA-10008 "high" scope mounts. Due to the lack of info on here and the SIG website, I had no real info as to which scope mounts it needs to clear the rail. So I ordered the "medium" hight, which were just a tad too short, preventing the adjustment rings from turning, if I would have tightened the mounts. The SUPERB return/exchange policy here at Optics Planet, made it possible for me to send them back in exchange for the taller "high" version. ALL FREE OF CHARGE.
