Better than the original night sights - SIG SAUER X-Ray3 Pistol Sight Set, No. 8 Green Front, No. 8 Rear, square

I needed to update the sights on one of my more collectable Sigs, these fit the bill while "keeping it all in the family." The overall shape/profile of the sights are very similar to the older stock Sig Sauer night sights, they seem well constructed and installed with a sight pusher with no problems. The rear glare reducing serrations are also a very nice premium feature. Under well lit conditions the thick green front sight against the blacked-out rear is much easier to pick up compared to the older all white-outlined front and rear. However, under dimmer lighting when it's not quite dark enough to see the tritium yet, the green hue used for the outline doesn't provide as much contrast as white. I also have several sets of TruGlo Tritium Pro's which have the same features, but their white outlined front is much easier to pick up even in the aforementioned dimly lit conditions. All that being said, at such an affordable price, I would still recommend this product, especially to anyone that wants to keep their pistol all Sig. But if you're not totally married to Sig there are other sights for about the same price that offer better performance.
