mnzrxer's Review of Sig Sauer Tango MSR 1-6x24mm, 30mm Tube, Rifle Scope, First Focal Plane
This is the only first focal plane scope I have and I was a bit surprised how small the reticle is at 1x. My first time trying it out was on a somewhat overcast day and it was a bit hard to see the center of the reticle in front of my target at 100 yards without the illumination turned on. Thankfully, with the illumination on it was very noticeable and, of course, higher magnification scaled up the reticle size. Later, I tried it on a very bright day and the illumination of the reticle does get pretty washed out in bright sunshine. It isn't too much of an issue since the illumination isn't needed on bright days.
I don't have much to compare this to optically as all of my other scopes are probably from the 70s at the newest, but I have no issue with the clarity of this. Eye relief is good and even at 6x the eye box wasn't an issue for me.
Finally, I was a bit surprised at the weight of this scope. It is heavier than I expected. Some of that is the cantilever mount and some is just due to the 30mm tube and larger glass that results.
Overall, I'm happy with this scope. The fact that a mount is included makes this a good value. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced LPVO.
