Ssi in 204 ruger jammed into my new thompson encore pro hunter....badly! - SSI Sight-Rite Chamber Cartridge Laser Bore Sighter

I bought one of these SSI Bore sighters from Bass Pro at Vaughan MIlls in Toronto. After driving considerable distance to sight in my new rifle, I discovered it jammed in my new rifle, and I had a horrible time getting it out of the gun. I ended up ruining the bore sighter. The extraction rim broke off. Also fiddling around with the batteries bas not a straight forward operation. If you are thinking of buying one of these things...save your money. I have researched since my horrible experience and jamming up in barrels of new guns is commonplace. There seems to be no consistency in this product. Some people love them, but there is evidence of a lot of falures in the field. Seems they have a quality control issue. It is a simple process, like sliding an actual cartridge in the gun, and thereafter extracting it. I am disappointed that Brass Pro would sell such poor quality items. But hey...the Ruger 204 encore pro hunter, is awesome!
