Chris D's Review of OpticsPlanet Exclusive Sightmark Ultra Shot M-Spec FMS Reflex Sight with Integrated Sunshade 1x33 mm
Total novice, so take it for what it is. I took a risk and bought a 2nd M-SPEC for my new AR pistol before I even had a chance to zero/test my first one on an AR rifle. Hit the range yesterday, and they performed perfectly as far as I can tell. Only needed 9 rounds (3x3) each to zero, albeit at 25 yards at an indoor range. I'd like to fine-tune them on a 100 yard range, hopefully soon. I sent only 100 rounds through each platform after zeroing in and they held zero with no deviation noticed.
I chose this particular sight because of the circle-dot reticle. The large circle ensures I can pull the dot into view quickly and target still resides inside the circle after each trigger pull. For my level of skill and experience, this is a perfect setup. I do wish the M-SPEC had the multi-pattern reticle options to mess around with, as some SightMarks do. Also not a fan with where these are made, but I knew this going in. It's possible that I'll progress to something more high-end eventually (i.e. made in this country), but I'll probably still stick with the circle-dot pattern.
I can't imagine anyone going wrong with this sight, but maybe I need to get a few hundred more rounds through each platform before such a claim. I know I like them and believe they're a great value.
