Jimmy's Review of Sightron SIII 1-7x24 Rifle Scope w/ MOA-4 Reticle
I purchased this scope for my 300 Blackout AR. The main draw for me was the MoA reticle and the 7x magnification at a modest price point. After using it I knew my search for optic was over. It makes shooting subsonic at extended distances quick and precise, Turrets are extremely tactile, adjustments are exact, and the glass resolution is good for the price.
I do have a couple peeves with this scope. The glass has a slight pink tint when looking though it in low light/indoors. Some may find the hashes of the reticle too fine and hard to see. On the other end of the spectrum the center dot is huge, It covers at least 3MoA at 7x(way more than advertised). Ontop of being huge it is also not daytime illuminated... On a average sunny Florida afternoon the dot will glow a dark red on the highest setting when its pointed against brush and trees but will fade to black as soon as its aimed at something that is bright.
One thing I ran into with this scope is that this thing is long(12.5 inches long) and has a huge amount of eye relief. This combination makes it so you have to mount the scope way forward. You may need to take this into account when selecting a mount.
