Shadow's Review of Silverback Airsoft Desert Tech SRS A2/M2 Covert Air Gun

The srs is a amazing gun, not only is it the coolest looking gun but it work fantastic.
The srs is the smallest sniper you can get which makes incredibly ergonomics it is only 2feet 3inches long and due to its bullpup desigh it still has a longer barrel than my novritsch ssg10 which is 3feet 6inches long which is also a great gun just alot longer.
One of the cool things about the srs is that it not only has a hop-up adjustment like other airsoft guns to adjust the bb's flight path up and down but can also adjust it from left to right, so it can also correct your shots if there curving so they go straight.
The only thing this gun really needs is a stronger spring, maybe a m150 or m160 spring which is very cheap and easy to install.
The bolt action is the smoothest nice pull of any airsoft sniper rifle out there, it can be alittle hard to pull back the last little bit but gets better once you wear it in alittle. Another way to fix this you can replace the sear spring with a spring from a pen or cut a few coils off the spring it comes with but should only be done by someone that know there way around a air soft sniper rifle. Dont cofuse the sear spring with the big bolt action spring please dont cut that.
I could go on and on about all the great stuff about this rifle, the person that gave this gun a bad review obviously doesnt know anything about airsoft at all i mean like at all and if he has never played airsoft in his life he shouldnt be starting with a sniper rifle anyways.
Airsoft sniping is very difficult but rewarding and the most fun you can get out of airsoft, but if this is your first time dont get a sniper because you will hate it everyone else will have full auto or at least semi auto gun and they have played for years you will find yourself severely out gunned.
instead start off with a good Aeg = airsoft electric gun or gbb= gas blow back gun which is alittle harder but still way easier than a sniper.
After you are very familiar with airsoft and are getting quite good and want a new challange or want to try something new that is when you might want to look it to getting your first sniper rifle and this would be the best you can get, this or the novrisch ssg10 they are the two best guns you can buy for sniping.
That guy was also complaining about it having a orange barrel tip if he knew anything he would have know that every airsoft gun he would know that in the u.s all airsoft replicas are required to come a orange tip which is removable b.t.W.
If he couldnt couldnt get it to shoot he obviously didnt put it together right when you get it you have to install the bolt which is very easy even if you have never touched a airsoft gun as long as you read the instruction which are very easy to understand.
Pros:
  • well built
  • Looks great
  • Very accurate
  • Very ergonomic
  • Very quiet
  • it short everything
Cons:
  • its alittle on the heavy side but the bull pup configuration makes it quite manageable
Best Used for:
  • long distance accurate shooting
