Inexpensive but not cheap

The rifle scope is now installed on an AR platform and functions well allowing groupings at 50 yards that convinced me it will work just fine as a boar beater. I have tried other "low end" 3x9s and found the reticles moving and inabilities to repeat accuracy. This Simmons scope isn't a shorty but it fits the bill on this EBR.

Great Value

This is a great value scope for average hunting and shooting use. Easy adjustments for magnification, focus and point of impact. Positive fingertip adjustment on windage and elevation is great. Good, clear glass and simple retical. Good value for smaller caliber and rimfire rifles and seems durable enough for larger caliber rifles. Have several on my rimfires and plan to test this one on .30cal M1 Carbine.

Failed advertised specifications

Scope was purchased to meet local Club Asprin shoot competition. Advertised at 9.6 ozs. scope actually weighs 11.4 oz. and allows rifle to exceed 7.5 lb. class limits. This is the second unit from name manufacturers I've purchased that fail to meet their own specifications. The industry is becoming untrust worthy.
Pros: Generally standard for inexpensive scope.
Cons: Failed to meet weight, useless as class competitive.

Way off zero but got on paper quickly

Out of the box at 30 yards, it was 14" low at 7 o'clock. Once I found my point of impact though it was easy to walk it in.. shortly we were 2" groups @ 100 yards with army surplus .223 ammo. Nice little optic!

For the price, good for a cheap rifle

Got this on a 22 cricket, its pretty dang clear for a cheap scope was impressed for the price, would recommend to any one who wants a decent scope for a cheap rifle.
