SilverStreak's Review of Slide Fire Solutions R600 Muzzle Brake
The Slide Fire R600 muzzle brake screwed on the muzzle end loosely without any thread friction that other muzzle brakes have. Not until it was cranked down hard on the crush washer (not included) did it feel tight. Test fired it at the range with 60 live rounds and it did not come loose. Time will tell. I expected it to need tightening so a wrench was brought along. The flats are fit for a 5/8" wrench instead of 3/4". Why? The finish is not matt as pictured, but semi-gloss-satin like. Other than that it does a good job as a blast can. Eliminated the shock wave effect from a conventional muzzle brake. Muzzle jump was more pronounced but controllable. All the gas is ported straight ahead and directs more of the noise straight ahead. This is what I bought it for. Price is reasonable $40. Heavier than most, but does mitigate muzzle jump. I think many who are looking for a blast can may not like the way it fits. That is the reason for the NO recommendation.
