Im a female police officer. I had the plain silver and the black S&W handcuffs like the rest of my male coworkers did. My handcuffs kept getting lost or switched around when we had several arrests in one spot. Engaving them did not help much. After ppl were booked in,we had to look at each others engravings up close and pass them around. My new pink handcuffs are not hard to differentiate from theirs anymore and I find them and/or get them back sooner.
