The intent for this safe was a quick way to access and store both a defensive long gun and my concealed carry pistols. The other firearms which spend most of their time stored are in a sturdier and more permanent safe. For my purposes it is perfect. If it were just a little longer I wouldn't mind getting another long gun in there. As is it suits the purpose perfectly. The ability to store two separate codes is nice. My only minor gripes are that it didn't come with batteries or the instructions and hardware for hard mounting.
Pros:
- large capacity
- Out of casual view
- Relatively fast access
Cons:
- Not as fast to access as smaller quick safes
- Not as secure as conventional stand up safes
Best Used for:
- Self defense firearms with moderately quick access and medium security where storage space is at a premium
