Good rugged and solid piece of gear. I use it to hold stuff that I need on hand rather than water bottles. I bought two and put one on either side of my 3-day pack. It's a good sized pouch tht can be used to hold all kinds of stuff, but not so big it gets in the way. A grommet in the bottom is large enough to drain water and goo, but not so big that crud and bugs get in - much more practical then the mesh bottom one that I had. Keeps stuff dry for the most part unless the rain/snow is really blowing.
