Changing my gas tubes - Spikes Tactical Melonited Gas Tube

I purchased one midlength gas tube and one carbine length gas tub for two of my rifle's. I read about the melonited gas tubes, so I tried one on my originally purchased rifle from eight years ago. I replaced my old one. Installed the new one and went to the range. I had no problems with my rifle or the newly installed gas tube.
