Solid light weight mount delivers - Springfield Armory Scope Mount 1-Piece Base, M-1, Rail Kit

The M1A is an abosolutely fantastic rifle and with the factory National Match sights, my loaded model out of the box shocked me with its accuracy. And while I might get paper plate accuracy at 200yd with my ability with the irons, I certainly wasn't going to be putting 2" groups out that far without optics which is why I sought out this mount, which also happens to be used by our military as well.

The mount attaches very securely to the gun and while you're mounting it, you'll see why it really should not come loose. A huge benefit of this mount is that it still allows you the use of your iron sights, so you don't have to use your optics all the time if you don't want to. Speaking of optics, unfortunately due to the design of the gun, this rail ends up being rather high. You'll want to use low mount scope rings and you will need some form of cheekrest to get a good cheek weld.

I've put a few hundred rounds downrange after zeroing in my scope and it has held the zero since. I am quite pleased with the mount and the price is right, I would buy it again.
Pros: Very solid optics mount and you can still use the iron sights
Cons: The rail is reasonably high up
