Robert's Review of Spyderco Bradley Folder 2 CF/G-10 Laminate Plain Edge Folding Knife
PROS: It is a well heat-treated tool steel (63 HRC) that came with a surprisingly well polished edge, and lightly oiled (CPM- M4 will patina without it). The hollowgrind was well executed, and my particular sample came down to .02" behind the edge. Just the right amount of belly to be a useful scraper; with a low-enough tip to be a good draw-cutter. The lockbar is a cause of concern from a lot of people from what I've read, but it truly does not bother me at all. It is easy to find, and disengage without looking for it. The scales look good, and feel slightly tacky; but not so much that the clip is difficult to get over the hem of my work pants. Lastly, the knife was easy to use left handed, and the clip can be switched around for left-handed carry. CONS: The ergonomics are good for normal use, but if you need to use a hammer grip to get through thicker materials, like sever layers of cardboard, then you will feel several "hot spots" throughout your palm; specifically the webbing between the thumb and index finger. Finally, the detent is weaker than I prefer. It won't open in my pocket, but I can deploy the blade with a quick shake. It's not bothering me enough to disassemble the knife, and adjust lockbar pressure.
