Not a work knife - Spyderco Para Military 2 3.45in Folding Knife

I used this to cut insulation of large copper wire to terminate, cut nylon ropes and cardboard. The edge is far too brittle to do these tasks without chipping and the first 1/2mm of the tip came off as well. Normally people use utility knives but there is nothing like a good knife. Bought this to replace a Gerber mini covert fast that served me well for 7 years.
This knife out of the box will slice through cardboard, nylon rope, gloves (ouch) but anything much denser than that you may experience edge chipping.
Very nice and well made knife that is light and with secure tension on the clip. Opens easily but upon closing the blade you have to watch where your fingers are since it is so sharp.
I'll have to get another knife with softer steel and use this as a non work knife.
I don't know knives, steels and what the blade is designed for, so I am probably not using it as I should. It isn't like in the description where it tells you what a certain steel will not be good for.
