Crashed during setup
All instructions were followed. Unit was fully charged. Died during setup. Would not recharge. Spypoint’s customer service was good. But all they could offer per their warranty was repair. That was not acceptable to me for a new product at this price. OpticsPlanet took good care of me.
HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME
To sum it up 3 cameras r/r in less than 5 months. Expect to spend hours on the phone waiting for SPYPOINT to answer if at all. Cameras continue to cause the sd cards to need reformatted. Unreliable garbage in my mind First camera went t_t’s up in 35 days. Return policy is 30 days no exception. A friend of mine has had good luck with his but it’s a different model. Considering reporting this to the FTC. Yeah right !

Spypoint Link-SV
I purchased my Spypoint Camera Links s-v. I loved it at first but ran into some issues several times.
I had it for a year and the devise would not boot it was under warranty they replaced it. It was in the cold of Wyoming. Then the replacement wen out of warranty and the same deal will not boot. Did the support rout very nice folks but it was 4 months out of warranty for the second failure.. They wanted to give me a 20% discount on a new purchase. They said they could not do more. Not sure if the cold Killed it or just product failure. I did notice that they are often are sending updates to the firmware. When I called Customer service they would always blame the firm ware for the product failure. I like the concept but this is not ready for primetime. For a product of 500 dollars US it should last a lot longer than 2 years. I would not be writing this if it lasted 6 years. I called support over 6 times over 2 years.

Love this camera
This a great camera. It takes good photos and the best part is it sends them to my Spypoint account remotely. I have it set to upload every four hours and I look forward to seeing each new upload. I now have three of them. I f I can get a signal of three bars on my phone, then the signal is strong enough for the camera to upload.
Pros:
- Easy setup
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- wildlife observation and hunting
