Ssk 20” 460 s&w - SSK Firearms .460 S&W Magnum Encore Non-Threaded Rifle Barrel

Ordered this product expecting it to be as shown in the picture. I was surprised when it arrived that it was a bull barrel, with no pic rail and not threaded. I looked up the description which has no mention of a rail, but does say that it’s threaded. I’m a little disappointed to lose the threading, but decided that it isn’t that important to my purpose. Threw it on my Encore and ran to the range to get some velocity readings on my 45 LC load. My 255 LSWC “Colt” loads ran at 1050 fps & were quite accurate just looking down the barrel with no sights, I hit 5 cans at 25 yards in 6 shots. Sorry, but I had no 460 S&W or 454 Casull ammo to shoot for velocity testing. SSK quality is great & am happy with the purchase. Will buy the pic rail on my next order.
