Dust016's Review of Stag Arms AR-15 Retro Right Hand Upper Receiver
This upper is now entirely Aero Precision, with the HBAR being a solid chrome-lined 20" DMR barrel from Ballistic Advantage, just Stag Arms name etched on it. Not a complaint at all; this upper is actually a very nice setup for anyone wanting a straight A2 target rifle or a free-float DMR style weapon. I could only recommend getting a nicer set of Colt or IMI A2 handguards, these Aero handguards were sharp edged and have thin heat shields compared to real A2 plastics. The rest of the parts are great!
Unfortunately, it will not truly accept a Knight's Armament M5 RAS (M16A4 Service Rifle) handguard without removal or thinning of the front barrel clamp crescent, as the barrel is a straight profile 0.905" under the handguard from chamber cone to the FSB's gas block journal. Apparently older (actual) Stag Arms HBAR uppers had a thinner profile where the M5 RAS worked w/o modification. Just FYI for M16A4 clones.

- Everything but the handguards.
Cons:
- A2 handguards are cheap, A4 rail doesn't fit.
Best Used for:
- A2 Target/Match Rifles.
