Excellent jointer - Steelex 8in Jointer with Helical Cutterhead, Mobile Base and Parallelogram Beds

I researched a lot of jointers and choose this one because it had the parallelogram bed with Helix cutting head. The price was on the maximum side of my budget, but well worth getting the 8” jointer. I think there are some other brands out there that charge a lot more, and come from the same country. The beds were spot on and true. I recommend you remove the motor first from the shipping bracket. This is a mistake in the instructions and must be done before installing the bed on the base. It also will make your life a lot easier if you use a 6mm Allen socket with a 12” extension to install the hard to reach bolts. I had to remove the bed from the base to remove the motor shipping bolts, which affected the table sitting flush on the base. Having the Allen socket saved me a lot of hassle re-installing the hard to reach bolts
