Rick's Review of Steiner M332 Prism 3x32mm Rifle Scope

Pros - overall build quality and glass clarity are outstanding. The illumination lights up the reticle enough that I'd say it's daylight bright/visible. The QD mount seems very solid, and two spacers (and extra mounting screws) are included so you can adjust the centerline height a bit. It also includes front and rear flip caps. Note that with the front cap closed and the illumination on, it can be used as a rudimentary reflex sight (just keep both eyes open). The warranty is lifetime and transferable.

Cons - the field of view is a bit smaller than I was expecting, as is the reticle. As said above, the mount seems nice, but without the spacers, it puts the centerline height at what is about co-witness height on an AR-15...which is fine on an AR-15 obviously...but I wish I could lower it a bit for use on a PTR-91...and as far as I know, there are no other mounts out there that'll work for it.

Overall, because of the overall quality, glass, field of view, and eye relief (c. 3 inches), I'd say the best ACOG to compare it to would be the TA11 series (3.5x35). The FOV is about the same, the eye relief is a bit longer on the M332, and obviously the TA11 has a bit more magnification - but overall, they "feel" similar.

As for the "C E" mark on the base - NO, that is NOT the "China Export" mark - it's a certification mark for products made within the European Economic Area (google it). The China Export mark does look similar...but it's not the same...and the mark on the M332 is clearly the European one. These optics are made in Germany.
