Incorrect replacement part - Streamlight Face Cap Assembly for Survivor LED Lanterns

Although exactly the same in appearance, apparently there are earlier variations of this light not indicated in the product description. The overall length of the purchased part was too long to fit my model. Further clarification is needed to avoid future problems for customers needing this part. It was necessary to contact the manufacturer to find the needed part.
