Great light for marine use - Streamlight Fire Vulcan Rechargeable C4 LED Flashlight

I bought this flashlight to use on my boat, in particular to identify distant buoys and landmarks at night on the water. I looked all over but could not find a light with the features I wanted until I ran across the Fire Vulcan LED. My 4 main criteria were:
1. Waterproof
2. tight beam out to approx 100 meters
3. 12v, vehicle mount/charger
4. lightweight, rugged, LED design

The Fire Vulcan LED is all of these and it floats! The beam is amazing, I can clearly identify items out about 200 meters, maybe further. And the flashlight is lightweight, easy to hold, it doesn't roll around, never gets hot, is easy to lock into the charger, etc etc. Perfect in every way except one - I don't need or want the blue LEDs on the back of the light. I covered them up, but it would be a better light for my purposes if there was a switch setting to have the main light on full or half power, with the rear LED's off.

I highly recommend this for others looking for a rugged marine flashlight.
Pros: tight beam (100-200 meters), rugged, waterproof
Cons: cannot turn off the blue LED's on rear
